Most of driver in China think of tire in the winter is the same as snow tires, actually, this concept is not comprehensive. The definition of winter antiskid tire internationally is the tire that fit for using below 7 degree Celsius.

Winter antiskid tire compared with the summer tire and general tire, the material of winter tire is softer than other tires, at the same time, the groove of tire are deeper and more width relatively, it can provide better skid resistance and grip the ground performance.  Thereby can guarantee the car safely in the low temperature environment. Winter antiskid tire can be provide better performance on the dry, wet and snow road, such as braking, manipulation and so on.  According to pavement  slip resistance, there are three kinds of winter antiskid tire: serrated tyre, snow tire and tire studs tyre. Presently in China, except of tire studs have not allowed be use, rest of 2 kinds of winter antiskid tire both can use in China.
